Matrix Repatterning

View a quick 6-minute explanation of the principles of Matrix Repatterning

Matrix Repatterning Therapy (MRT) is a revolutionary new way of understanding, assessing and treating the body-literally at the molecular level. It can restore optimum function and help alleviate many painful conditions and other health problems associated with structural imbalance.

Why is MRT revolutionary? Because it recognizes and treats an aspect of our injuries that has only recently been known to exist – the matrix. MRT starts by recognizing that every cell in our body is part of a continuous interconnected three-dimensional matrix web. When our bodies sustain injury a whole region of interconnected cells which was once strong and flexible becomes rigid and weak. A lifetime of these injuries (most of which we have forgotten) accumulate in our bodies and may manifest as pain in joints and soft tissue.

Imagine that I am pulling down at the bottom of your sweater and it limits your shoulder movement. Do you have a shoulder problem or a tension problem at the waist level? This illustration demonstrates that the cause of pain or decreased range of motion in the shoulder for example may actually be located elsewhere in the body. MRT addresses the underlying problem rather than the symptoms.

There are many factors involved in a person’s pain patterns. Tension in the matrix may be a large part of the pattern. As a result, after MRT most people function at a much higher plateau.

Matrix Repatterning is based on the following principles:

  • The Tensegrity Matrix is the scientifically proven structure of all life on the planet. Everything from viruses to vertebrates have been found to have the same underlying structure at the molecular level. According to this new concept, the entire body (bones, muscles, organs . . . everything) is one continuous piece of strong and yet flexible fabric called the tensegrity matrix.

  • The matrix provides stability and flexibility and absorbs energy from injuries and other sources.

  • A large amount of energy (such as comes from an impact) may cause the molecules within the matrix to change to a rigid state and form a primary source of restriction.

  • Dense structures, such as internal organs (full of dense water) and bones absorb most of the energy in impact injuries, and often become primary sources of restriction.

  • Joints, muscles and ligaments are designed to give way when strained, but may form primary restrictions when overstretched. Scar tissue may also be a source of restriction.

  • Strain patterns from the primary restrictions may cause many other parts of the body to move and function abnormally, resulting in pain and other health problems.

CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH STRUCTURAL IMBALANCE:

  • Headaches & Migraines
  • Dizziness & Ear Noise
  • TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Problems)
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Heart and Respiratory problems
  • Back, neck or joint pain
  • Scoliosis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Digestive complaints
  • Restricted movement
  • Unstable joints
  • Arthritis
  • Menstrual Pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Postural imbalance
  • Sleep problems
  • Foot problems
  • Snoring and Sleep Apnea

These conditions often respond well to Matrix Repatterning.

What can I expect from Matrix Repatterning Sessions?

The examination process usually involves a detailed assessment of postural balance, movement patterns, muscle tone, joint mobility, neurological function and other tests. It also includes a careful determination of the precise locations and directions of the primary restrictions. Treatment is generally painless. Each area may need to be treated in several, slightly different directions to release the entire pattern and several primary areas may be treated in any one session.

Since long-term imbalances are often being corrected, the body may respond for a period of several days after the treatment. The brain tends to adapt to chronic conditions and pain. Treatment may re-awaken some of this stored information causing a temporary aggravation of symptoms. Certain home-care measures may be recommended to help your body adapt to these changes more comfortably.

The assessment is repeated at each subsequent visit. Further layers of restriction are usually revealed and released. This is similar to an archeological excavation. A series of treatments can release all of the structural imbalances developed over a lifetime.

Assessment

The purpose of the assessment is to locate the sources of restriction in the body. The molecular restriction is actually an electrical disturbance. A normal electrical field placed near a disturbed one will tend to move it towards normal. Therefore, when the practitioner places his or her hand (this is a normal field) over an area of restriction, it will temporarily be shifted toward normal, thus reducing the molecular tension. Since the matrix is interconnected, the rest of the body will relax slightly. This is something the practitioner can detect and the patient can often feel as well.

The process is continued until all of the restrictions are identified. The practitioner will then determine the priority in which these areas are to be treated.

Treatment

Treatments are very gentle. They involve the use of precise localized pressure referred to as induction or a gentle springing type of motion called recoil. These techniques are designed to release the trapped electrical energy within the restricted area. When this happens, the molecular structure returns to its natural, flexible state. This is a permanent correction and it will not return unless another significant trauma occurs.

The practitioner may also use other forms of therapy to support the healing process and to release scar tissue.

Matrix Repatterning was developed by Dr. George Roth and represents the culmination of over 20 years of study and research into the structural basis of health. Practitioners throughout the world, who have studied and applied these principles, are finding remarkable success in relieving many acute and chronic conditions.

Video clips can be viewed on Dr. Roth's website www.matrixrepatterning.com where he explains the scientific basis for matrix repatterning and demonstrates the assessment process. You may also read case reports involving the treatment of various disorders including scoliosis, ankylosing spondylitis, frozen shoulder, gastro-esophageal reflux disorder, fibromyalgia, snoring and sleep apnea, and cardiac function.
